Socialite Paris Hilton shocked fans at the launch of her new videogame when she referred to the product by the wrong name. Jewel Jam, which can be played on a cellphone, is made by videogame maker Gameloft - who are set to create an entire series of Paris Hilton games. But the company was left red-faced last night when their celebrity endorser appeared totally clueless at the Los Angeles Convention Center for the Electronic Entertainment Expo. Hilton, who arrived late, said, "I'm really excited to have my new video game, Diamondquest. Thank you all for coming, and you can download the game."

heya folks, so the next chapter of Guild Wars, "Factions", goes live @ midnight.

so the art director started a thread on conceptart.org where a lot of the artists here are putting up their work from the game.
since most of the stuff i've done has been for the next chapter, i don't really have anything to contribute that wouldn't get me fired,
but you should all check it out, these guys are fucking rediculously good. like, holy shit, i'm not worthy good.

so i just got off the phone with the guy that's selling me his car.
i've got all the finances worked out, and within the next few days,
i'll be driving it. I'm so fucking excited. jesus. below is pretty
much what it looks like, aside from the fact that the interior of
mine is black... god it's beautiful. so fast. i'm so pumped!

2001 bmw 330i sport/prem. package, 5-spd. manual, 69k miles,
lovingly cared for by a fellow bimmer fanatic. it's practically new.

how is everyone doin?

i haven't really read/updated in a good 3 months or so...

i've been good! new job's workin out awesome,
we've got a wrap-party for guild wars: factions tomorrow
at the sci-fi museum downtown. assloads of booze and Hell's Belles
are gonna be there. fuck yes. i can't think of anything
more entertaining that a bunch of nerdy dudes (myself included)
getting wasted to an AC\DC cover band. :]

on other topics, my kittens are gonna get the chop this weekend.
yes sirreeeeee bout time for them to chill the fuck out.
so that's good. my poor car, 'Harvey' has been out of comission
for a few months now, so with the help of my newer salary i'll
finally be able to purchase a new(er) one.

I've decided that i'll most likely name him
'Baron Gunther von Civic-jager'. He likes dark beer and hot mustard.

aside from that, i'm addicted to Warhammer 40k: DoW. if any of
you play it, let me know so i can crush you and harvest your
blood for the chaos blood gods. Sanity is for the weak!

also, as i'm sure most who care to know probably already
know that i broke up with liz. i'm having kevin-time now,
a bit of soul restoration and all that jazz. i'm diggin it
so far.

but friends are invited, i'd like to see some folks i haven't seen
for a while.

so. after 6 months of work and very patient girlfriend/friends/family,
i've gotten a new job. 2 models and a shit-ton of stuff later, i'm done.

over the last 3 weeks i did an art test, and they dug it. interviewed today,
naiiiiiiiiiled it! got a call an hour later and got the salary shit
outta the way. fucking awesome.

i'm gonna be working with some exceptionally talented people, on an
exceptionally pretty game.

So the concept they sent me was a Yak that has dwarves riding on it. i added
a lot of my own flair to the metalwork, horns, and face. 3348 polygons, 1024 x 512 texture.

hello, all my lj/intarnet buddies.

it's been a very long last few months.
there's been a slew of emotionally trying things
that have occured in the last few months;
along with that, a lot of growth.

i've been focusing on my portfolio stuff
that whole time (and also having some late nights
at work), so i've been purposefully trying
to keep my eyes on my goals, and have willingly
sacrificed a lot of social balance.

basically, i've been ignoring my friends.

while i know a good amount of you know and
understand why i've felt the need to kinda
hermit myself away the last while, i apologize
to all of you if i've left phone-calls/plans
unfulfilled, and otherwise been a detached asshole.

i miss you guys a lot. :]

so i'll show you the shit i've been busting my ass on.
